The first-ever Warped Tour I attended I was 14 years old. I loved the feeling of being surrounded by music, and people loving the same things I loved. It was an experience I hold close to me and it was a big part of my teenage years. After that year, I went every single summer to a Warped Tour until this past weekend was my last Warped Tour. In previous years I have seen my favorite bands, meet amazing people, networked, and even interviewed and photographed talented artists, some of them who I have been listening to since I was a kid. Music has always been such a big part of my life.
This year was no different. I ran into old friends, made new ones, and got to hang out with my best friend and my boyfriend. We saw bands we listened too when we were in middle school and high school and saw bands we still listen to and love today. I’ve been going to concerts and music festivals since I was 13, and I experience my very first pit to My Children My Bride. If you don’t know what a pit is, click here. It was just really cool to see 3Oh!3, Simple Plan, Reel Big Fish, Chelsea Grin, Every Time I Die, Mayday Parade, Bowling for Soup and Issues. Seeing music live, being by people you care about, and just enjoying yourself, is just an incredible experience and I am glad I was able to do that for so many years.
It is just good people and good times and I will always remember that. Thank you, Warped Tour!
